Seaside villages are the new fascinating lifestyle, which makes everything more human and everything closer.
With their simplicity, they replace the cold existence dictated by the asphalt of the cities.
The village of Cetara, on the Amalfi coast, offers the visitor an immediate sense of belonging, and walking through those alleys you have the feeling of always being part of that place.
The great tradition of anchovy dishes and typical products such as the anchovy sauce, also called “the scent of the sea”, were born in Cetara.
Everything represents a hymn to the wisdom of cooking; there, in that fishermen’s place, among those colors, chef Gaetano Torrente had the intuition to dedicate an innovative way to cook to this paradise.

GAETANO TORRENTE
A young chef from Cetara, the continuation of a renowned family in the world of catering on the Amalfi Coast.
The kitchen is the place of his childhood memories, of his life spent with his family, which has always been dedicated to making the village of Cetara a cult place and a symbol of top-level catering.
His adolescence and his stories bring us back to the culinary tradition of the family that raised him.
Today he put his ideas into dishes that are a modern key to understand the concept of simplicity and are created for customers who have a taste for refined dishes. Special marinades, butter with lemons from the Lattari mountains, until the last of his excellent creations, “Carbonara with Colatura di Alici”.

At his restaurant “Pane e Coccos”, two typical dishes are Tuna Genovese and Tuna Bolognese, these recipes gave this young man the innovative idea to create two vegetable sauces.
His creativity pushed him to consider that fish cuisine should be characterized by quality and dynamism … but for anyone who wants it!
“Good cooking for everyone” is now a reality, and his products confirm it.
Then, the choice to give the transformation of the sauces to the coop. “Al di là dei Sogni” from Sessa Arunca, shows the great heart of a young man who supports the work of fragile people with his business.
His will to help the weak has continued with the project of the “Cetara Pack”. He is working with the association “La Forza del Silenzio”, created to support autism.
In fact, people of this association will create the packaging containing the products dedicated to the Borgo di Cetara.
Fortune favors the bold … and loves the good: Gaetano Torrente has shown his talent working in the kitchen and now, with a new project, is creating a synergy with a fragile world to reach out to.
